|
|
Hi All
I've got a 1996 Delica Spacegear chamonix, 2.8TD.
Recently whilst in france during a hot spell, I got the air conditioning system regassed at the main mitsubishi dealer.
The front air con works very well, it's absolutely freezing.
The rear air con works, in a manner:
When the air con is activated in the rear and the top (roof) vents are on, no cool air comes out at all, just warm cab temperature air.
When you switch the vents to high and low (roof and foot), the air gets freezing cold quickly from the top vents, but hot air comes out of the one of the vents at the bottom, and the other seems to suck air in.
When you just have the foot vents activated, warm cab temperature air comes out from the foot vent.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Alan you will prob be better posting it here http://www.mdocuk.co.uk/forums/index.php you will have to re register but you can use the same name u have now it is the sister site to pocuk set up for us delica owners and most of us are over there now so hope to see u soon.
I havnt really taken a lot of notice but when my wife is in the back with the rear aircon on she has it coming out of the roof vents alone and its freezing so not sure why you are gettin the way you are i will try mine in all positions and see how it goes but id assume at least one vent would draw air in to be recirculated through the conditioner to put back out.when they regassed the system was everything ok or did they encounter any problems with refilling? it sounds as tho one of the pipes may have come adrift to the vents or even the slider dial is playing up its hard to say really without taking it out to look, but my wife has just told me it def works out of all vents hth

Thanks for that info Marc.
I have a feeling that some of the pipes may have come disconnected behind the vents in the foot area, so am probably going to take a look at the weekend. You wouldn't know how to get into that area? if not, I'll try and remove the panel.
After that I'll check the slider as much as I can.
Thanks again
Alan
<PS> Thanks for the Delica UK owners club site - I'll register on that ASAP. |
