Hi after a lot of detective work it would appear my timer piston position sensor is u/s anyone had this issue and if so where can i get a spare.

Do you mean the speed thottle sensor?

im guessing its a 3.2 DiD so if your local jap motor factors cant supply them or local Diesel Specialist then it will be the dealer

There are i believe two of them on the injection pump

Sorry forgot to say its a 2003 2.5 td running like a bag of bolts,did the trick with the ECU plug ( ie shorted pin 1) and got the codes 25 and 43,dissconected the plug on the timer sensor,and it made no differance,and no new codes tested the sensor as per servive book and open circuit.
on the pump there is a 12 way plug at tne bottom then 2 way plugs its the lowest of the 3 way plugs.

I'm guessing this is a Shogun Sport???? and do you mean TCV timing control valve...........these are common faults but sorry to 2 say its a specilist job and not cheap, its pump off and send 2 diesel specilist................... Sad
