I can't really add much to what has already been said. I never met Steve or even spoke to him on the phone but he came across as one of the nicest people I knew. I feel like I've lost another true friend.
When I wasn't feeling well last year he would always ask me how I was feeling even though he was going through worse than what I was. He always thought of others before himself and I can only hope his positive attitude to life has rubbed off on me in some small way.
POCUK in general and particularly the song thread will be a much quieter place without him. My thoughts are with Fran at this time. As mentioned before I'm sure if there is anything anyone can do to help at this time the POC'ers will not disappoint. I'm away for a glass or two to raise in memory of a dear friend.

Oh dear.................. I was waiting for Steve to come back from hospital and start writing again.................. I loved the way he wrote........... That's not gonna happen now...................
R.I.P my mate....... will truly miss you..... you were a genuine fella
thoughts with Fran and family at this very sad time.....
I will surely miss my almost daily PM from Steve, who encouraged me, and drove me on with my problems, he was insprirational to me, he was a fighter who fought a good fight, just this time, the fight was a bit to big, rest well friend, I am sure we will have a word soon, watch Stu, never goes to the bar, Nick will be at the bar waiting, and James will bore you with technical stuff about motors, whilst Mark, will be the referee, and keep you all on the straight and narrow
Very sorry to hear the sad news. met Steve a few years ago when he came to collect the A bar for his white paj, he sent me a photo of it fitted, and met him again at Marks funeral. Total respect

Rest well Steve dear friend,
Thank you for all that you have contributed both to all on here and me personally, still got all the pics you and Fran took of my truck off roading in Filey and those of your Mr White looking not so white after wards.
I never met Steve, but we had a common interest in music of caribbean origin, and some years ago he sent me some CDs of rare stuff from his collection. We've conversed both on the forums, and in PMs. I've always considered him as a friend, and am so sad to hear this news. My sincere condolences and best wishes to Fran at this terrible time. I'll play some of the music he sent me and think of him. God bless Steve.
