Does anyone know any place in scotland where I can take my own vehicle off road. Any 'pay and play' style places. I'm based in the South Aberdeen area. |

Often wondered this myslef (Aberdeenshire). The unfortunate answer appears to be that in most cases all the decent coutryside is estate owned and thus "private" at least so far as ripping it up with your 4x4 goes.
Best option is to try an cultivate some rural friends. |

Dunno about off road sites,
but according to that AA report yesterday on potholes...
Scotland ON ROAD is the equivelant of London's off road. |

Yeah your right, seen a chap standing photographing a huge pothole with his combo van parked nearby looking not so good.
Like to know the chances of him getting money out the local authority ? |

Thought I'd revive this old old thread as having come back to Shoguns I have been to Glentarkie and can confirm its a cracking place to go.!
Next on my list is to visit Drumclog down by Glasgow. Has anyone else been there, it gets excelent reviews. |

I was going to recommend: experience4x4 (dot com) near Loch Ness but looks like they've closed only 1 month after I was there |

drumclog has become a bit extreme these days, the opencast is slowly spreading, reducing the area available for playing, so its all getting a lot more traffic. its mostl suitable for serious offroad vehicles now im afraid |
