Hi, I have a Shogun 3.2 DiD on a 05 plate. The problem I am having is a miss fire/ loss of power/ judder on acceleration (not sure of the best way to describe it). My local garage changed the EGR after it was showing a fault on their diagnostics machine. Unfortunately the running fault is still there and the fault code still showing. The engine idles ok and the miss fire is when accelerating more obviously in the lower gears but all the way through the range.  It cruises fine at motorway speeds.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as the garage seem to be scratching their heads.

Thank you,

Simon.

Look up 4epikanini he has posted engine manuals for the 4m41 on his other posts and website. They tell you how to test the electrical side of the system, pump sensors, throttle pedal etc.

The egr is connected ted to the main throttle valve assembly below the battery on inner wing. Check rubber hose.
Having running issues myself I would get it tested by a Mitsubishi dealer on the MUTT.
Wish Ihad done that before mine stopped running.
My next place too look is the throttle pedal sender, if it is starting to fail can give those symptoms.
Good luck!

I' ve been getting parts from Norjac and spoke to a technician who said he would be able to pinpoint the fault on the computer in 10 minutes. That's great but I am 100 miles from my nearest dealer. I can get the car down by the AA but if it needed a pump I would then need. To get it home so I could do the work myself.
My problem now is there are no fault codes showing
I seem to have narrowed it down to the engine temp sensor on the block, when its cold it starts and runs but wont rev, lf I disconnect it the car revs but dies on idle after stuttering. When warmish it wont idle but will still rev if plug off. But I could still be wrong! If it does not do it I will have to go to a dealer.
