Job done.  Very Happy
The hardest part was trying to scotch lock the blac/brown wires. Once that was achieved it was plain sailing.
Took about an hour to have it working and wires tucked away nice and tidy.
Thanks for all the help

Just out of curiosity why is the rear door not included with the CL mechanism? and is it possible to wire a solenoid unit in there?

I may be getting greedy  Rolling Eyes

No idea as mine does. Does yours unlock when you operate the locking with the key? If so it should with the remote too.

Might be worth taking the panel off inside the back door to check.

Would this work on the same way on a 1992 2.5td lWB ?
Or do I need to do it a different way as the vehicle is older ?

Don't see why not as long as you have CL and the CL module under your dash same as pictures.
Give it a try and let us know, that way others can see and convert theirs too. It really was a simple job to do Very Happy

Hey Darren

Sorry to drag this thread on, but am just adding a cheapo ebay kit to my 2003 Sport Warrior, and wondered if you could re post the diagram you mentioned, as the link seemed to be broken. Many thanks mate.

Wouldn't mind trying this myself, does the above wiring methods/diagrams work with a 2000 W reg shogun sport GLS?....and is it possible to remote lock/unlock the boot also?

Cheers

Hi ,ive bought one of these remote locking kits off ebay but the wire colours are different from the kits shown here.
The six remote locking wires are in order from the top  orange , white ,yellow ,orange black , white black and yellow black.
I know i need to connect the red to power  the black to earth   But is it the white and white black that i connect to the black brown wires behind the fuse box  and wich wires should i earth as well as the black?
All help appreciated.

This is just a guess as I haven't seen the wiring diagram for your unit.

White and White/Black

Orange and Orange/Black

Yellow and Yellow/Black

These seem to be in pairs and I assume that the colour (eg White) is one wire of a relay and the other wire (eg White/Black) is the other wire from the same relay inside your unit.

So it looks like you have three relays in there and the wires to each relay are connected together when the unit is activated.

I assume that the central locking on the Sport works in the same way as the normal Pajero / Shogun - there is a control unit that has a "lock" and an "unlock" wire - earthing one of those wires will lock the doors and earthing the other will unlock the doors.

If it does work like that then connect one of the pairs of wires (eg White) to the "lock" wire and the other of the pair (eg White/Black) to earth. When the unit is activated it will earth the "lock" wire and the system will lock.

Similarly, connecting another of the wires (eg Yellow) to the "unlock" wire and the (eg Yellow/black) to earth will earth the "unlock" wire unlock the truck.

The problem is that without seeing the instruction manual for your central locking unit it is impossible to know what colours to connect to the "Lock" and "Unlock" wires.

The third pair of wires is possibly connected to the indicators so that they flash when you operate the unit.

Like I said - it's impossible to say for certain without seeing the fitting instructions.

Got it sorted ,  the white  and white /black are for lock unlock and are connected to the brown/blacks on fuse box.
The yellow and yellow/black are joined with the black earth wire and have a ring terminal crimped on  and are connected to an earthing point.         The red power wire is spliced into the constant power to the radio behind the console beneath radio.
Theres two brown wires for the hazards that i have yet to connect .    Do i need to fit diodes to these to prevent all the indicators coming on when indicating .
