The central locking unit that I fitted was part of a complete alarm - it didn't need diodes on the indicators.
Having the two brown wires means that they will be isolated from each other internally so you won't need diodes.
One brown wire to the right indicator circuit, and the other to the left circuit. |

Just bought a remote locking kit which I plan to tackle in the next few days. Can't believe they aren't standard kit! |

It means that Mitsy can charge extra - and they seem to like doing that |

Bit of help/advice please. I cant open the diagrams that folk have attached on previous posts! My kit arrived on saturday and just had a look at it prior to installation. So i have the following coloured cables
Pink - siren
Green - negative power window output
Brown - direction light
Brown - direction light
Red + storage battery
Red/black - trunk release
Black - negative storage battery
Then orange, white, yellow, orange/black, white/black, yellow-black which all say "central control lock assorted wires".
Just trying to marry up how these colours link to the original post if anyone can help?
Cheers, Andy |

Just to add, on the back page it has 3 diagrams. One for negative trigger, one for positive trigger and one for positive and negative trigger. Which one do i follow? Sounded like a simle job but is baffling me so far😟 |

It is negative trigger on the normal Pajero so I assume Mitsy used the same system on yours.
There is a control unit behind the front driver's side speaker on mine. The control unit has two trigger wires - earthing one of them locks the car and earthing the other unlocks the car.
The first thing you need to do is find those two wires on yours ( you can pick them up from the back of the door lock by taking the door card off). Connect one momentarily to earth and see whether it locks or unlocks the car - then connect the other momentarily to earth and it should do the opposite of what the other wire did.
It is easier to wire into the control unit if you can find it because it saves running wires into the door. |

Hi gang, just wired mine up but it does nothing. Used the same colours as Galway. On multimeter I have 12.9 volts at the unit when connected up but the led doesnt clash and nothing else happens. Is this pointing to a faulty unit? I've guessed which white or white/black goes to which black/brown so might try swapping them over. I would have thought that the led would flash anyway? |

That's mine sorted, luckily my wires were the same colours galway78 fitted you need a broken arm to join onto the central locking relay lol, but it works a treat I didn't join onto hazard switch as I don't know how to remove it, if anyone can tell me I'll do it next weekend thanks |
