I'd suggest giving Seamus at Munster 4x4 spares a call anyway - might have some of the bits & pieces you're looking for and very fair on price.

Is it a 2.5 or a 3.2? |

Ah. Pity it wasn't the 3.2 as he had a few LWB Pajero's the last time I was there.
Good luck though |

I honestly don't know I'm afraid. If it was a 3.2 then I'd expect them to be the same as things like the front struts would be supporting the same weight. But with the different engine I really couldn't say.
The gearbox wouldn't be anyhow as there's different ratios for the different engines. Turbo's probably aren't the same either. Propshaft is going to be a different length.
I'm only guessing, but I'd be thinking that the gearbox & turbo from an L200 or Pajero Sport would be the same as they also run the 2.5 engine. Best bet now would be to send cavanmick a private message on here if you can as he has plenty of experience with the older Pajero's and the Pajero Sport (he was able to tell me what the differences were between the older 2.5 and 2.8 for example).
Sorry. |

Ok then first up welcome along,
The suspension bits are interchangeable( might even give it a little but if lift using 3.2 bits if you change all four springs)
The gearbox is specific to that model as rob said different ratios to 3.2 and different 4wd set up to older models.
The turbo I'm almost certain is a VGT on the 3.2 and is mechanical on the 2.5. Your best bet is get your own one rebuilt and the you know you have a good one.
You should be able to pick up the bits in a breakers if Seamus in Munster doesn't have them, there were plenty of 2.5s sold over here so should be a few broken.
Hope this helps ya buddy. |

Thanks rob and cavanmick,
Was onto a few breakers about those parts I'm looking for, only looking for the 2 front shocks unfortunately, if I was looking for the 4 I could be tempted to increase the ride height a little. ust waiting for them all to get back to me now! |

I'll check my emails now and see if there is anything from him in them, I'd say that the parts off that one would be pretty clopse to what I need |

Well two different places are after getting back to me munster 4x4 spares and west cork breakers
Won't say the price difference but west cork breakers are a good deal cheaper but they don't have a gearbox in stock...
Munster 4x4 spares are saying they can deliever the parts though... which should I go for? |

Surprised to hear West Cork are cheaper to be honest - they were 100 dearer when I was looking for a fuel pump for our yoke.
Which you go with is up to yourself really though.
I've gotten some smaller bits from West Cork before. Went down there in person and took most of them out myself (interior trim, wind deflectors). I'm the sort that likes to wander round a yard and see if anything catches my eye which they weren't over the moon about but left me off anyway. Guy was a bit rough, but the price was fair and I'd deal with them again.
Got a fuel pump off Munster 4x4 and he was brilliant to deal with. Stood behind the part and gave me a second when the first didn't work properly (turned out to be something other than the pump at fault). |

Just thinking about it a little more.
If it wasn't a considerable difference in price, I'd probably go with Munster as if anything doesn't work out he's bound to have more in stock. |
