I would love a go at the rover V8,
I think it is doable, after all they fit in a moggy minor, Milners used to manufacure bellhousing and engine mount `kits`for the hi-lux, give them a ring, they may have some usefull info.
Lots of Land/Range rover boys put Mitsubishi DIESELS in there dead 2.25s, do a search of some landrover sites/forums.
personally I think the V8, would be the better option, as you can even get hold of an lpg/gas system for them cheaply. Lets face it theres so much v8 stuff available....whereas the v12 is too long to fit with a radiator, and after plasma cutting/ grinding & gas axeing an ldv 200 to accomodate a v8 I have a little experience........
let me know what you find, I wouldnt mind converting me tdi
I have been putting a v8 in a battered old ldv 200 series, Why not....... |

DONT USE THE V8!!!!!!!!!
I will come and pick it up and put it in my Hi-lux!!!
If that dont put you off, try RPI Norwich, Rover V8 specialist they will put you in the right direction. |
