Hi Guys and Giggles,

Just joined...brand new! Not that I haven't been reading all the posts with respect of purchasing my first Paj.!! I thought that I might add a few of items that crop up as a result of my experience in getting a 'first' Pajero as many other new (prospective) owners may benefit.

Have to immediately give a big plug for Milward Motors down in Lancing West Sussex (got this contact from our very own POC website!!) - Joe the owner and importer of Pajs for 10 years and services them too, is a wealth of information. My Paj is being registered and is awaiting collection at St Leonards on Sea (Jap-City). It is a newly imported 2.5l Exceed 1983 (KReg) with 81K km (50,000 miles) on the clock. Bodywork, underneath and interior are all immaculate.
Immediately Joe stopped me and asked if I had the mileage verified by the BIMTA cert. Didn't know about that. Apparently, it is pretty vital to get one as up to 45% of the grey imports actually have the wrong mileage on the clock! The importer should have made an effort to obtain that but didn't. For £29.00 you can get Milwards to instigate the search for verification in Japan. Knowing that the vehicle has the authentic mileage is crucial for servicing and when you come to sell it on. BTW you do get a certificate.

It's fingers crossed now while I wait 48 hours (Tues or Wed) for verification.
