Yeah them Nankang got really good write up, even from down under and the states. apparently tyre suppliers were telling people to stop buying the maxxis buckshot as them nankangs are the same tyre with a different price tag.  Shocked

My 31" remoulds are a similar pattern to them nankang, tbh they are loud on Tarmac  Laughing  I remember first day I put them on, I was like "bloody hell" I'm used to it now though but...

I couldn't even bring myself to try that tread pattern in a 33"

On the motorway doing 60mph i sound like a Boeing 747 taking off  Laughing

Ive got about 6 insa turbos.
ive found there is around 5 different tread patterns.
its not just insa that blows out, from my experience its any remould.
ive seen these remoulds often loose there blocks of tread, I think because of towing, another guy claims its braking.
ive seen treads seperate from tyre.
this is very my kumho kl71 fitted in 2008, god knows its miles but these are 100x quiter then these plus more reliable.
On my truck my n/s/r always wears quicker than any tyre.
this is the oldest tyre now on nsr to polish it off.
ive done extreme heavy towing, all sorts.
they do get noisey when old as ive found out.
maybe the case in vens case.
ive found if slightly feathered then noisey aswell.
ven is it poss that l200 had a duff compenssator, that would always lock front wheels.
ive had several tyres over the years.
nothing comes close to kumho kl71 for me.
quiet on road, reliable, even when feathered still so much quiter than them remoulds.
plus the kumho is soft so it sticks to the road.
yes it wears quicker but this is the same with my car, I only use continental sport contacts as soft, they stick to the road.
its not about a hard tyre, noisey n dont stick.
tyres are deff the case, you get what you pay for.
Oh and these are my wheels after having truck repainted.
not seen truck yet just had to rebalance my wheels.
there looking pretty smart.

Ven105 I didagree with your opinion on remoulds.
on a lorry the michelin remould is the cream.
they still have all tread de bond from carcase, air still stays in.
in my days of doing tyres id say general grabbers are very reliable as in no blow out same as kumho.
At workshop I have 6 insa turbos 3 blown out.
replaced in a pair.
I have tyres called big macho.
these to me a insa turbo, theres no difference there all blown out, normally along edge on side of tread not like the 2 tyres I pictured but couldnt be bothered to dig through 200 plus spent tyres.
some tractor, digger.
my theroy is this, lets take my tyres off my car plus paj for example.
Paj I get around 5 years.
now lets remould it, to me its not clever as think youve got atleast a tired 5 year old plus tyre.
all cords had a beaten etc.
my car yes I get 2 years to a tyre.
ive had avons and can go a bit longer but the tyre is rated as 180mph.
would you really want that on a high powered car knowing the next guy is more than likely gonna drive like a animal.
this just my opinion, ive fitted tyres for years plus worked with trucks, also I've only ever seen a driver tyre as a remould on a lorry.
is this because firms had bad experiences on fronts or people dont make sterring tyres as fronts as no good.
