I've just purchased some Millers Eclipse fuel additive, you add the to fuel in a ratio of 1:1000 (1ml/litre) would it do any arm to double the dose for the first couple of tanks? |

Not recommended, depending upon the additive it could do a lot of internal damage. |

I've used millers eco boost and now use two stroke. Never had an issue. Did a filter change last week and the diesel was spotless and water free. |

I'm not sure about the millers - I'd follow their instructions, as said.
I've been using / testing a new to the UK fuel additive since November, and have become a distributor for it since, as the results are good - http://lessfuel.co.uk/66-improvement-in-mpg-using-xft/
With this one, it is recommended to do double dose for the 1st 3 tanks, then a single dose every tank.
Let me know how you get on with the millers, and the results. If you want to test the one I distribute, let me know.
regards

yea, send me your details -
to mark@lessfuel.co.uk
send
name (real one)
address
email addy
vehicle
I'll post enough out to do 3 tanks worth, which should start to see a difference. - although, to be honest, my delica didn't show anything mpg - wise until 4th tank, but I could tell it was running better.
Mark 3 - mobile mechanic has tested it
some feedback http://lessfuel.co.uk/xft-user-feedback/
and Nick Dudley has tested it http://lessfuel.co.uk/xft-in-the-uk/
any sales I make via the club, I'm going to be making a donation into club funds, from my commissions as a distributor ...

Thanks for the advice, I'll stick with the recommended dosage and see how it performs. I'll give you my feedback Mark I dont do big mileage so it will be a while before I get some results. |

to be honest, and the quick answer ... I don't care - I just know that I am now getting more mpg and they are running better than they ever have on all of my vehicles running it - which are :
Pajero 2.8 LWB towcar, workhorse - M reg
Pajero 2.8 SWB road legal offroader - L reg
Delica L400 2.8 - N reg
Alhambra 1.9 - R reg
Picasso 2.0 - Y reg
Iveco Daily Van 2.3 - 06 reg
as said, also Mark 3 - mobile mechanic and Nick Dudley from here have both been impressed by it.
What it does, I think, after reading all the blurb, and talking to people, and using it is :
You put 3 tankfuls in at double dose - this cleans out all past pap etc, and at the same time is making the fuel better.
then, you put a single dose in, with every fill up, at the rate of 1ml to 10 litres. this keeps the system clean, but, it is a fuel modifier, and it makes it burn better, thus getting better results.
it must do something to the fuel, as, when you stop using it, your mpg drops back, and the car goes back to noticeably running less smoothly.....
When I first got this, to test, I gave away a load of samples to people, including some folks on here. But, it was only one sachet - enough to dose 70 litres, so the results didn't really show much, if anything. now, I've learnt, that every car seems different - probably due to the variation of history etc - eg my missus's Picasso showed an extra 50 miles to the tank after the first tank, then 100 on the second, yet my delica did nothing mpg - wise for 3 tanks, yet now is showing a massive gain ... hence why all the blurb with it says to try it for 6 tanks, and if no results, you get your money back ... it is a long term gain, rather than an instant short term win, after all, which will give us the most savings.
have a look around the website www.lessfuel.co.uk which is a site I built, to try and explain things a bit more, as the Americanised site they provide is, well, Americanised, and also quite focussed on the Network Marketing Angle, whereas, I think it is a good product, in need by most drivers!
There is the actual patent, and chemical makeup of it on there, and a friend of mine is a chemist happened to look at it, and she says it makes sense about how it works ( molecules surrounding and bonding or something apparently! )
In the end, try it and see - I do have some samples I can send out - now I send enough for 3 tanks at double dose ...
