Hello everyone.
The steering on my LWB 2.8 feels a bit strange(hard to describe, but not normal) had a look at TREs all seem ok.
There is a small amount of side to side play in the shaft coming out of the bottom of the steering pump and when you rock the steering wheel with engine off there's a clunky noise coming from the s pump area. UJ seems fine.
Do you think I need new Steering box? |

Is that slack coming from the steering box alone ? This slack can be adjusted out. |

Steering fluid level is ok, but I haven't changed the fluid scince I had it.
Looks like the play is in the shaft that comes out of the bottom of box. side to side play not up and down. |

Is your Pitman Arm OK? - including the splines and the ball joint. |

Pitman arm was replaced last year by Mitsubishi, still looks ok.
How do I adjust the steering box? |
