Hello everyone.

The steering on my LWB 2.8 feels a bit strange(hard to describe, but not normal) had a look at TREs all seem ok.
There is a small amount of side to side play in the shaft coming out of the bottom of the steering pump and when you rock the steering wheel with engine off there's a clunky noise coming from the s pump area. UJ seems fine.

Do you think I need new Steering box?

Is that slack coming from the steering box alone ? This slack can be adjusted out.

Steering fluid level is ok, but I haven't changed the fluid scince I had it.
Looks like the play is in the shaft that comes out of the bottom of box. side to side play not up and down.

Is your Pitman Arm OK? - including the splines and the ball joint.

Pitman arm was replaced last year by Mitsubishi, still looks ok.
How do I adjust the steering box?
