I can lay my hands on a "free" V8 c/w autobox from an SD1,(cheers Dad!)

Has anyone done this swap?Will it fit in my '86 2.5 Paj?

I just got it back from the garage after a month getting the head done on warranty,and now it's dropped top gear on the autobox.
I've looked on the forum but they all seem to refer to the later models,I'm looking, but I aint seeing the switches you're on about!!
It's happened before but the guy in the garage aint letting on how to fix it due to animosity over the head repair job.
It's a lovely big bus,hi top an' all,but it'll be going soon fast if I can't get no satisfaction,man!!!
