Whilst trying to find a coin that had been floating around, under the centre console, I noticed the selector was extremely loose. I removed the console. After a little closer look, I found that the bushes that fit either side of the pivot shaft were non existent! I ordered 2 new ones, part number MB580253, at least that's the ones for my 1994 2.8 LWB. Price £17.62, including VAT. Fitment was really easy, and plopped some grease in there. You just can't believe the difference! The selector is nice and solid, it selects gears easier, and doesn't rattle on tickover. All in all, a good afternoons work, and I found the sliding coin too, yay!!! |
