Hi All,
Sorry ..this is a long one ..but worth it I think.!
I have had the usual bother of the front passanger side tyre wearing on the outside. I had it tracked , laser tracked , and retracked.
It still kept wearing ...not as bad but still there.
I also had the problem with the shock absorber bottom bushing wear
on the same side.
Now ..the point.
I very recently bought myself a grease gun to do the joints on the paj,
because I wasn't convinced they were being done properly.
Saturday while I was going through the process I came to do the upper balljoint on the same side ..the jount was nearly dry and worn.
It was so worn that every pump of the gun moved the joint.
The advice...?
If you suffer from wearing tyre's , lower shock bushing wear, or creaks from the front .. check the upper balljoint on that same side.
I reckon that movement on this joint is responsible for the problems I had by altering the angle of the wheel,any attempts to correct the tracking resulted in throwing the weight onto the outer side of the tyre and wearing it even more.
