I've not had any trouble from the HMRC but I have been investigated by the Environment Agency regarding collecting WVO. They checked my WTNs, paperwork and website and this particular guy wanted me to register as a Waste Carrier. He eventually changed his mind after a few quotes of their own laws and him checking with someone who did know what they were on about.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I'm aware of a guy just now that's having a bit of bother with HMRC.

From what I gather, it seems to be methanol purchases thats triggered it.
