I use Amayama since my Pinin days who are very reasonable for new kit. |

I saw a Pinin in a scrap yard in Derby yesterday - I think it is different to a Junior though. |

Yes..........and no.
The wheel hubs and such are the same and the little things inside like switches/controls are from the same stable but overall I would rate Junior as an improved Jimny with IFS. If I were blinkered I would liken it to my SJ 413 I once had. The Pinin was based on Junior but aimed at export markets rather than JDM. Pinin is more of a plush ride.
They ought to have kept going with Junior, updating and so on, instead of letting it get the Pinifarina treatment. |

I had a nearly new Pinin about 14 years ago - nice car.
Apparently it wasn't actually made in a Mitsubishi factory. |

Very nice motor but they got it wrong in a good few ways.
I think they were made in Brazil once production ceased in Japan. |
