The last 2 weeks my Shogun has been running like a bags of nails and failed to get above 20 mph - needless to say it has been parked during this time and have been using my wife's car. Today I blanked off the EGR and wow - what a transformation. Runs smoothly and crucially the management light did not come on. The best £10 I have spent in a long time. I purchased the blanking kit off eBay from a seller called rabbitz2k - just Google it and you will easily find the link. The seller was so helpful- he even phoned me and took me through the blanking process while I was at my engine.
This has been a resounding success for the basic mechanic - if I can do it, anyone can do it!
I have a 2004 3.2 diesel and is s 'fly by wire' model. Hope this is of some help to those out there thinking of blanking their EGR - well worth it!

Thousands of owners have fitted some form of blanking kit, I used only a slip plate so my valve and fittings remain.

Others with the 3.2 will take note of your good performance after fitting the blanks.
