|
|
Hi all.
Have had great advice from the site before but need a little more please. I need a good garage/mechanic in Northumberland to service my 2008 diesel LWB Shogun. I was driving it the other day on a duel carriageway and it went into limp home mode. Managed to get it to a Kwik Fit who plugged in their computer and said it had a "low turbo pressure fault". They re-set it and its OK now but its not long until I take the whole family on a 2 week holiday in France towing a large caravan and worried it may happen again. I thought it may be a good idea to get good mechanic who knows their stuff to give it a "proper" service and give me an honest opinion on whats needed at a fair price, not the rubbish you get from cowboys who seem to say every is knackered and charge £££££'s for stuff that wasn't needed. Any help/advice would be very welcome.
PS. Previously posted this in wrong section on site - sorry! |

You dont say where abouts in Northumberland you are ( and its big!) but these guys might be worth a call considering the risk you might be taking...

I used them a couple of years ago for diagnostics
Failing that, look for a Mitsi dealer nearer to you to check it out

Thanks for the recommendation. I live in Corbridge near Hexham so they aren't local to me but don't mind the traveling if they are good. Has any one used "Hexham 4 wheel drive centre" ? |

You need Graham at GCAutos in Gateshead Quays. He's a Mitsubishi specialist and is absolutely brilliant. Quick service, sensible prices and does a really good job. Oh, and he's a really nice guy too.
Put it his way, I've travelled over from Carlisle to see him for the last few years whenever I've needed anything doing.

Just to add, he's not so much a general Mitsubishi specialist, more of a specialist in Shoguns and L200s specifically! He could take them apart blindfolded! |
