Hi all,
Need to to drop the towball on my 2005 shogun sport equippe to level caravan
what is the best way to do this? seen adjustable drop plates on ebay etc??

Oh needs to be adjustable as box trailer is level on standard height at present!!!
I keep scraping the *beep* end of the caravan!!!!!

Any help is appreciated and a pic of the drop plate would be good, so i know what to get!!!

cheers
Simon

Also had to fit a drop plate for a trailer (even though the Paj came with a lovely 6 slot adjustable bar) but a standard 4" drop plate for a tenner did the trick. AFAIK your options are to fit a drop plate and keep the spanners handy or fit an adjustable tow bar. Mine simply offers you six slots to attach the ball using regular bolts but others let you adjust the height of the plate using retainer pins which I imagine can be moved in a few seconds. Measure your trailer and vehicle tow heights and hopefully they are within 6" of each other, not sure I'd want to lower any more than that using just a drop plate.

Hi, is your truck lifted mate? Only asking as my 2005 Sport is fine at the standard height with my caravan.
My drop plate is only for my old style stabiliser, as it was too near the tow ball to turn the bolt.
