Hi Guys,
I am going to remove the roof rails from my 2.8 Mk2 SWB Pajero. I am looking to clean the roof line up and wondered if anyone had removed their roof rails and re-trimmed the gutter rails? If you have where did you get the gutter rail infill trims from?
I haven't a clue how the rails are attached and did not wish to start pulling things in pieces before I had some knowledge of how they were fitted. All information will be gladly accepted.
Another roof item to be removed will be the sun roof wind deflector canopy. Any ideas on how this is fitted? Thanks.

Ray

to remove the roof rails all the interior trim has to come out so you can get the roof liner off,you will find the nuts will be covered in a type of sealant to stop water getting in,sometimes the nuts will screw straight off sometimes they don,t the studs will unscrew but they do not come through the roof as there is a stepped section on the middle of the stud so if the stud turns you need to unscrew all the others on the same rail a few threads at a time or you will damage the roof rail...as for the plastic trim on the roof they are fitted in with clips which will break and you can only get new ones from mitsubishi and they are not cheap... Wink
