Hi. Got a 3.5 v6 2003 shogun.

Only blows hot air out the vents. Makes no difference how low the temp knob is set or even if the aircon is on.

Any ideas

Cheers

Sounds like it need's a re-gas, how long since it was done last .., i would'nt use the air con till you have it done, a good aircon shop will vacuum the system out and look for any issues.

Only had the shogun about 3 weeks. God knows how long it was like that with the previous owner.  If it needs regassing suppose there must be a leak somewhere.

Ill have a look took see if I can see any obvious splits in pipes etc if I can.

Wonder how much it is to get it checked and regassed?

Not necessarily - all systems seem to slowly lose gas over time. Mine needs regassing about every four years even though it has been leak tested and shows no leaks.

Go to a proper air con specialist (or get a mobile one to come to you) - my local garage is good but many ordinary garages are not very good)

My local charges £49.99.

Not a bad price. Thought it'd be worse than that.

Got to get a leak test done aswell I think.

I've had a look on line and there's a mobile guy near by, who does a leak test, repair, oil? And regass for £50. Think I'll get him to have a look.

Cheers

They always do a leak test before they will regas it.

Could it be a cable come loose from the hot/cold knob on the dash  .?
