Hi all from a newbie,

The veh is a 1999 petrol 3.5 and the issue is gearbox sensors.

The numbers on the current ones are D891 and D892, fotos attached, well I would if I knew how to.  Mitsubishi garage have different numbers 12 in all, 30676Q, P, S, T, 30788S,T,T,TQ,Q,Q, 30677.

I hope that I have made myself clear !

Thank you in advance.

Sandra

Hiya
None of the numbers you've quoted above look like Mitsubishi part numbers.  Do you know what model number yours is? They usually begin with a a V then two numerals.

If you have this, I will try and locate the part numbers for you.

Others on here can do this from the VIN, but I don't have that link.

Hi Simon

I don't know the model number, sorry.  I thought that the year would be that.

Thank you for your time though.

There's probably a vehicle identification plate on the front bulkhead in the engine compartment. That should give you the vehicle code.

Thanks, yes I know it's a 3.5 V6.  The problem is that there were two different auto boxes supplied (according to my info) so it's really important to make sure we select the correct vehicle.

What's needed is shown in the identification plate as the chassis number.  For example here's the one on my vehicle, which is a K97.

The chassis number begins with the model designation, as you will see.  I can also be referred to as the frame number.

Once you have this, you should be able to find the part numbers on this site: Search for Mitsubishi parts by frame number.  (This is the site I couldn't locate earlier)

What you're then looking for is the section entitled 'Transfer floor shift control (ALL (SWITCH)) Diagram'.

Happy to help if you can give me the info I need.

Thank you Simon, I will ask the owner to take a foto of the plate and get back to.
