Hi everyone I have a MK1  2.5 auto with gearbox issues. Going to try a fluid change but getting ready for worst case scenario as the fluid is brown.
Been looking into some parts needed for a possible fix, but as for parts from a box to a torque converter they are pretty much none existent.
So my question is has anybody changed out there box for one from a different model or even done a manual conversion.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated as i dont really want to get rid of the car.
