I posted a topic on glowplugs about 9 months ago when I had a lot of trouble starting my 1995 2.8 Paj. I renewed the glow plugs which didn't help then eventually installed a push button on the dash and renewed the relay. A test with a meter showed 12v on the busbar. I reconed the plugs still were'nt working as it was still reluctant to start, but as the warmer weather came in it started without them ok, first turn of the key. Not now though. As winter rapidly aproaches it's back to being a pure pig to start.

I seem to recall reading a post after fitting the new plugs (can't find it now) that said the plugs sold by Milners aren't really the best ones to use, and that they were around half the cost of those offered by my local motot factors, so I'm wondering there are different types, if the plugs I've fitted are the wrong ones or if they are duds. I don't even know how to check them.

Any help appreciated.

Hello.

You can test them with a battery or a battery charger.;

Or you can look on youtube where you can find out how to test with a multi meter.

I have tried different plugs and  have found cheap one do not last long. I would only use NGK. Others recommend Beru or Bosch.

Excellent. Many thanks. Going to test them over the weekend & post the results.
