Just to inform you, fettling around today I wanted to install a fag lighter socket in the back of the centre console for kids TV etc. Couldn't gain suitable access to fusebox to take a feed. Wasn't prepared to remove dash to get front socket out to take from there. Then thought about 1/2mast aerial switch, as mine is capputt anyhow! Permanently erect! So trying to remove the switch was tricky, unscrewed the centre console via six screws and lifted it up only to find the switch surround is only clipped it. Pull this out and voila, a unused multiplug- no +12v though. However taped to this plug is a 6mm single live and earth with connecter, tested and it is ignition switched. I have used these for the rear socket with an additional 10a inline fuse, as I have no idea where the end of this wire/fuse is!
Hope this helps someone looking for additional power. I am also going to use this for LEDs. The size of the cable indicates that this is a high-powered feed. Just make sure everything is insulated well and additional fuses used.
