Heya,

I own a 1995 Pajero 2.8 V46WG in New Zealand and my Speedo has stopped working. Funny enough the odometer is still working. I suspect that the 4 little copper wires that are connected to speedo motor snapped from the connection hence why its not sensing anything, i tried to rewire and solder them but to no avail. It could also be speed sensor... ive recently bought a new one and waiting on arrival.

I did however buy a whole new speedo cluster and replaced it within the actual dash instrument and this did not work. Both the odo and speedo do not work with this new one. If its not the speed sensor what else could it be?

Its a bit mysterious and its getting quite annoying.  Any help would be much appreciated.

Wait until you've fitted the new speed sensor. That's most likely going to fix your problem. No much point speculating until that's been done.
