Hello, I’m looking at getting a Mk3 shogun 3.2 Lwb. Got a few questions just to make sure I’m making the correct choice. Moving up to Scotland, it’ll be towing horses, dealing with mud and *beep* weather. Basically a General workhorse.

What’s the Gross vehicle weight? (2.8-3ton?) trying to figure out payload. What to make sure I don’t go overweight moving house.

Locking rear diff vs ESP? Looking at a Locking RD over esp prefer something mechanical over electrical gubbins

Tyre size on an 02-03 16”? Rim also What steels do people run for off-roading

Can you upgrade front brakes?

It,s 3 ton like the mk2 no sure about per axle ..google is your friend Very Happy

As for the rear diff i haven,t got stuck yet lol..can,t tell you what is fitted thou.I use the same steels i used on my mk2 from milners and tyre,s.Front brake,s are twin pot and big you could try a set off the evo shogun they might fit ??.

Thanks for the reply, 3ton gives a decent payload, Would possibly use it like a van so that gives a good idea how much stuff it can carry. I did tried googling axle weights, vin plates and any other combination to no avail.

Didn’t realise they were twin pot calipers, probably just stick with them then.

Are they 16” milners?
