I have recently been having starting issues due to the cold weather. Local garage checked the glow plugs and found three down out of the four. I purchased and had a new set fitted following morning the truck wouldn't start. Plenty of huff and puff and eventually it caught.
So I start to trawl through our site and come across many threads on the issue however I came across a You Tube video which looked as if it might pay dividends; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EidWHhe1zKI&t=114s
I purchased and fitted a new Glow Plug Relay but the weather has warmed up so I shall not be able to test out the starting issue until the temp drops. I do however have some photo's and the game is; Spot the difference? The photo's are of the positive battery terminal which has a fuse holder (3) attached to it. There is 80amp, 20amp and 60amp marked on the cover with associated Japanese writing explaining what the fuses protect. What are the fuses for? One appears to be blank whilst the 80amp is empty?

The last image is some work done by a so called electrical trades man which I have ripped out (long story). I have no idea what he was trying to achieve?

Hi Ken,
Thanks for the reply. I have these schematics on the fuse boards in the Pajero. The one I am missing is the one in the engine bay which is attached to one of the batteries. I think it is called a fusible link. The photo I have attached shows only one fuse when there should be two (I think). There is a 60amp fuse and the 80amp fuse is missing? The 80amp fuse I feel is for the glow plug set up.

As you can see some plonker at the garage soldered an in line fuse in the 80amp. I removed this but I do not know what was if anything in that fuse holder. The whole job has got me stumped.

Your 3 fuse battery terminal is the same as my 94 SWB Pajero with ABS, the 60A is the ABS supply, the 20A not sure but the 80A is the glow plug supply. The non-ABS models have a single fuse battery terminal there with just the 80A glow plug supply. Without the 80A link there will be no power to the glow plugs.
