Vehicle = 57 plate LWB Shogun Warrior 7 seat.

There's a clunk coming from the rear near side which occurs as you go off and on the power. I suspected a drive problem. In for service and MOT today and they've diagnosed wear in the hub. Now I can live with it but would prefer to get it fixed. Mitsubishi price for the drive shaft is an eye watering £1600. After market is circa £500 both with labour to be added.

I just wondered if anyone else had the problem and what parts supplier did you use?

As always, thanks to the forum members for your help - it is appreciated.

Chris

If the hub is faulty then this is nothing to do with the drive shaft, its usually the hub bearing.

Assassin, thanks for the reply.

Going through the parts diagram at the dealers you can get the hub assembly on its own but I didn't want to put on just one new bit if the engagement to the drive is also worn. According to Mitsubishi the other part only comes with the driveshaft.

If you think there's a better way to do this I'm all ears.

Thanks.
