Good evening and thanks for any assistance provided.

I've just bought a new trailer to be towed by a MKII 2.8 swb pajero. The previous trailer had incandescent lights and this new one has LED's. Absolutely no illumination on connecting the electric plug. I can't find a definitive of if I require an additional relay fitted to the vehicle or if an adaptor exists.

All research has lead to some newer cars requiring a modification but nothing a out my trusty reliable pajero.

Thanks again

P.s the best car I have ever bought by the way.

Not aware of any relays but likewise have only got incandescents myself. Have you tried the trailer lights directly off a battery or PSU? Clip the earth wire in then go round the plug pins with the live and you should see them all light up one by one.

No I didn't try with a battery as I was a little perplexed at it not working and sure enough the person who I bought it from rolled their 05 plate free lander and there it was, lit up like a Christmas tree.

Im rather puzzled. Most certenly not an electrician but had hoped for a simple fix.
