Not through a river but like the big puddles you see on play days.
Most people say the diesels are safer as there are no spark plugs.

I've seen one that I want to use for winter and play days.

Also would you buy one with flashing 4x4 lights and has been stood for 2 years but starts and drives?

Hi
I have a petrol one and have been over rivers where the water has gone over the hood with no problems.  However once I drove really fast over a large puddle and the engine stopped.... so things can happen.

However petrol engines are "better" if it comes to water entering them.  Diesel engines work on more pressure so the changes of bent piston rod etc are higher.  As with everything there are pros and cons but diesel/petrol is not a game changer when crossing water.

Hello

It's just over a grand. The flashing 4x4 light is putting me off. Hopefully it's just because it's been parked for a while.
