Hello guys.
Since I am new to the 4x4 world and I plan on buying a 2004 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport 2.5TD I want to ask you some questions about the gearbox and diff lock.
I can see that Mitsubishi Pajero have 4 options on the 4x4 gearbox (2H, 4H, 4HLC, 4LLC). I know that the LC means Lock Central Differential (but is there any other option to lock the Rear Differential?). On Pajero Sport there are only 3 options (2H, 4H, 4L). Does this mean that Pajero Sport doesn't have Central Differencial Lock?, also does it have Rear Differencial Lock?
Can someone explain to me more about the 4x4 gearbox of Pajero Sport. Does it have differencial lock, and how to engage it?

Thanks Smile

It doesn't have a centre differential lock,  as it hasn't got a centre differential.    That's why it hasn't got 4HLC and 4LLC positions on the transfer box lever.  As there's no centre differential. 4WD should not be engaged on other than loose surfaces as the transmission may wind up.

Some Sports have hybrid Limited Slip Differentials, which I understand to be a combination of a a Torsen Differential with the addition of a Viscous Coupling Unit.  To know if any example has this or not, you'd probably need to check the VIN with the local Mitsubishi importer.  Or elsewhere if you can.
