Hi,

I know the topic of flashing error lights comes up often and I’ve read the very useful sticky, but I’ve got a constant flashing orange centre diff light. Now I bought the 5 new switches straight away without any diagnosis as I thought that was the most likely cause, but also thought it would be a good idea to change them all as a “serviceable” item and to prevent future failures (I use 4wd regularly, so would be keeping the switches better exercises that the one previous owner probably did), but that didn’t cure the issue, so I’ve run diagnostics on the vehicle and the only fault code is:

34 - freewheeling vacuum solenoid

Now, having read up on this previously, that fault code doesn’t point to the centre diff and the Mitsubishi parts specialist I bought the switches off advised that if these solenoids failed then I’d get flashing green front lights, not centre diff, as I did ask the question previously as i knee these were another failure point. I’ve ordered one now, but will that cure my flashing centre diff light?

I do think it’s running 2wd only though and not 4, which the sticky suggests it would default to.....
