Hi I have a Shogun Sport and it has 255/55 R18 tyres. These look a bit skinny and I thought I might like to put something a bit chunkier on with a AT pattern. So does anyone know how big/wide I can go before they start to rub. I know the L200 is the same at the front and they look chunkier, but I think that has a smaller wheel so it may just be the sidewall profile is bigger. It's standard height and I don't want to lift it, so no monster truck tyre recommendations please. Any advice much appreciated as usual, and I do know it will affect the speedo.
Paul.

You should be able to go to 31" diameter without any rubbing.  My Challenger is on 31" tyres and there's plenty of space. It does have a 2" body lift as standard, but I don't think it would make a difference without.

This is a very useful site for experimenting with tyre sizes before you commit to a purchase:

And to work out clearances etc:
