Hi guys
Thanks in advance for any help, it's much appreciated!
I've had a terrible hankering for a Pajero Evo for years but have finally accepted it would be an awful idea to try to use one for a daily driver given the lack of spares. It hurts me to admit it to myself but there were go.
Anyway, have just noticed that you can get the 3.2 with 197bhp so thought the next best thing I could do (I know it's not remotely close to an Evo really)is find a swb and pop a tuning box, exhaust etc on it and pretend:-)
So after all that rambling, how do you know which models have the higher power engines?
Thanks again!
D

Full specs for all the versions is here: https://www.parkers.co.uk/mitsubishi/shogun/station-wagon-2007/specs/

The 197 bhp versions have the lowest tax (£325).  Earlier ones (158-168 bhp) are high tax and the most recent ones (187 bhp) are also high tax (despite being Euro6).

Why? start putting other than basic tuning boxes on them and you kill them, add big bore exhausts and you worsen the problem as they have DPF filters which require back pressure and they often fail, and the simple reality is that they have excellent low torque which is what they were designed for; and remember you are throwing around over 2 tonnes of steel on soft suspension.
