Hi all

Has anyone done the inner track rod links on their shogun? Mine is a v68, looks like you need a specialist tool to sit on the flats or can you get away with a big open end spanner / adjustable wrench?

Is it a big job? I'm taking the truck to Morocco in October so working my way round a few worn bits of running gear.

Thanks all  Smile

So easy it defies belief.

Remove the outer track rod from the upright, remove the steering boot from the steering rack and pull it back, take a 24mm open ended spanner and undo the track rod, and the entire assembly comes off.

If you are replacing it I would suggest the Milners kit which includes track rod, and ends and fit a new steering rack boot at the same time.
