Hi guys, wonder if anyone can help me, just got back from the midlands, beautiful drive, refreshed not tired, anyway just cleaning the beast and I moved the drivers seat forward with the back rest as I was pulling items out of her. Well I moved the seat back ok, however the back rest is fixed in an awkward position, like driving a Defender (sorry don't mean to swear), looks like there are two motors on the back rest of the seat, i am assuming, one side makes a noise and moves ever so slightly but the seat is fixed in position and will not budge, worst luck, anyone got any ideas, most likely cause I think the motor shot, any ideas where I can get one from or is it a seat replacement. I have had a look on the forum but cannot seem to find any more info on this, any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Right guys, solved the issue with the seat. Took the whole thing out on Sunday, straight forward, took the motor off and connected it up to power, motor is working fine, going forward and backwards, the back rest motor was good. On the other side of the drivers seat closet to the console, there are some cogs, well hammer come out whacked it a few times  put it back together, hey presto its working, back rest now set in its comfortable driving position and motor disconnected by me. Perseverance paid off, nearly fell on floor what people want for drivers seat. Thanks people for your time reading the post.

Yes,if all else fails, get the big hammer out Laughing talking about seats, they are usually sold in complete sets with the drivers seat looking very tired, picture taken usually avoiding bolster side of seat, and as for cost, half decent set about half the price of a comparable second hand vehicle.
