Evening all.
Thank you for all your help in advance.
I have had the bloody car for 3 years with no issues. Took the car out wading in the sea during the storm without any problems. Spent the day driving round the south coast.
Three days later and the wife drives it and now there is an awe full vibration and whine coming from the front. All uj’s ok all cv joints ok. No play in the wheel bearings and running freely.
I have.
Replaced the diff with second hand one.
Full service including auto box filter and oil.
Everything seems fine, just this noise.
Any ideas.

Welcome to the forums. That sounds annoying. Post your question on the tech section if no one chimes in here.

Wading a 4x4 in the sea in a storm? Don't the rescue services have enough on their hands without this kind of idiotic behaviour?

Consider yourself lucky that all you have is a vibration from the front end of the vehicle. You could easily have no vehicle at all to have to worry about. Or nothing to worry with.

It's this kind of lack of consideration for others that gets the rest of us 4x4 users a bad name.

Simon has a fair point its not like there's anywhere you need to get to in the direction of the sea during a storm. My difference of opinion is that there is nothing about a stock Pajero suggests they are waterproof or reliable off-roaders so I'm seeing your post as you injected gritty saltwater into every nook and cranny underneath the vehicle! Are you sure you didn't scoop up a handful of pebbles and seaweed into the bell housing?
