Hi All,
had the EVO engine partially rebuilt ,replaced complete right cylinder head , pistons and camshaft sensor.
adjusted tappets in 0.15mm and out 0.20mm.
Cannot stop the awful "sewing machine" noise coming from engine. (tappets) ?
I have a recording of the engine sound and can send to  anyone that can  give me suggestions ?
Thank you

What engine code?

The 4m41 clearances are

intake 0.10mm
exhaust 0.15mm

Hello! Paj Evo (6G74mivec) tappet adjustment. Yes-It has screws not plungers. Cold engine inlet lash 0.10mm exhaust 0.13mm. You can see the process of setting valve lash on youtube. Search: valve lash setting mivec FTO. It is not the same engine but all steps are the same. Use  Cold engine inlet lash 0.10mm exhaust 0.13mm. Hope it helps!

I had the same on mine, it was lifter tick, changed the lifters (think they are the same as the fto) for 200-300 if I can remember and adjusted intake and exhaust clearance (.10 and .13 as stated), cured it 👍
