|
|
Haven’t had much call for it until today when I had to go and get shopping, car has been parked up for a week and was parked in the sun so a bit warm with black leather, tried the air con for the first time and nothing.
I had a quick look around the car and noticed two small pipes which had completely corroded (part rubber and part metal) under the O/S rear wheel arch.
From what I’ve heard the rear heating can be troublesome in these with A/C leaks, is there any way of blanking off or removing the rear heating pipes altogether?, any advice appreciated about where to blank them from and what to use as I’d like to get the A/C working for the summer if possible, if it’s a lot of hassle and expense though I will put the window down!. |

Thanks, I’m happy enough to get it done with a professional if it doesn’t cost the earth to do, if anyone can recommend one when the lockdown ends, if it is possible to blank off I know an A/C engineer but he more specialises in large offices etc than cars. |

If you can get the pipes from a SWb it's a simple swap over then it just a matter of refilling. Keep it all clean and use some of the old AC fluid to lubricate the o-rings before fitting. |
