I've sacoured the net and found a number of examples of HBB units screechin but so far no satisfactory solution. I've replaced the accumulator and also polished the end of the small pintle under the accumulator but to no avail. It seems to occur randomly whether the brakes are being applied or not and as far as I can tell it doesn't coincide with the motor running to boost the pressure. Any thoughts? Short video clip attached.

After another dig through the internet I came across some posts where an owner had narrowed down the screech problem to a failing high pressure valve. It seems as though this internal valve ages and becomes unrelieable allowing the motor to over pressurise the system. The screech is possibly the release valve dumping the excess pressure internally. Anyway, to cut a long storey short I ended up replacing the entire brake HBB unit and so far so good. I didn't have access to a MUT scan tool to bleed the ABS section so relied on a youtube video for a Toyota which hass a very similar brake unit.
