Hi Guys,
I have the 4x4 traction lights blinking.
Starting to check everything, the solenoid i will be replacing it no problem, but the Actuator works, but it only moves about 2mm, is it normal?
Cheers. |

No, and the usual reason for it not moving is corrosion.
Take some fine wet and dry paper and rub any corrosion from the actuator rod until it is clean, check for full operation and give the rod a light smear of silicon grease, clean this off every year and smear another light coat on.
Check the rubber boot is intact and not leaking dirt and moisture into the actuator rod and that you seat it correctly. |

Then check the rubber hoses for leaking, and the connections to the solonoid and actuator also. |

Pin holed or split vacuum pipes won't show a fault code. |
