Hi I have a flashing DPF light, and the following fault code P252F. Which says it has over filled oil, I have changed the oil and filter but the light will not reset using a Snap-On scan. tool. Can anyone suggest a reset procedure? or what the issue may be?.

Use the MUTT scanner to reset it.

Hi,

It needs a MUTT 2 or compatible unit and Snap On don't have much coverage on the Shogun.

A MUTT will diagnose the fault and can reset the system and do a forced regen if necessary.

A bi-directional scan tool like Autel should be able to reset it.

Some Autel machines will and others wont, also many Autel machines need the updates and this means a subscription so be very careful which Autel model you use.

FYI P252F cannot be erased using scantool.  You need to re initialise the engine oil level counter. This will reset the counter and code will disappear.

I have my own snap-on scantool and it can do everything the dealer can does except for coding immobiliser keys
