Hi all. Subject car is a 2016 3.2 Shogun.
Regarding the Auto transmission fluid. I see that there is no longer a dip stick on these later boxes to check levels and fluid condition. So what now is the story? Surely these boxes aren’t sealed for life!! What happens when or if the fluid needs changing? Is this a job that a competent work shop can do or does the truck have to go to a Mitsubishi dealer? ( heaven forbid)
Regards
R

Thanks for that. WOW….what a a-pain that sounds. Advances in technology isn’t always to the best I think. Definitely not a job for the home mechanic. Got to be sure to find the right garage to service these trucks

Fluid can be checked and changed on the ground but it's not much fun and the vehicle must be level. You still have to pump the old fluid out by removing a cooler pipe by the rad.
