Hi I'm trying to find a detailed diagram to find the transmission output gear sensor.
I've had a look and it seems that this could cause my shifting woes.
It might not but at £13 for the sensor it's worth a try.
Thanks Martin

Try this:http://mmc-manuals.ru/manuals/pajero_iv/online/Service_Manual/2018/index_M1.htm

From memory on the mk2, a faulty speed sensor would stop the speedo and top gear would not engage, never had to change one on a mk3 or mk4.

Thanks for that 🙂👍
My problem is not always selecting 1st when it should. I've seen a couple of YouTube videos saying that it causes gear selecting problems like mine but they weren't Shogun/Pajero specific. I'm going to check the obd and see if it throws anything up. If I can't get it sorted soon soon I'm going to have to try and sell it for spares/repair.
I only bought it to get my wife's mobility scooter around and I'd had a MK2 previously for 5 years and never had any problems with it other than a knackered battery, it was such a beautiful, reliable truck. So far this is just beautiful 😂
