|
|
Hello all,
I need to replace the steering/idler arm on both sides of my 1996 2.8TD LWB Pajero.
Can anyone tell me if both the left hand side and right hand side are the same part or are they both different parts altogether?
Is one side an idler arm and the other side a pitman arm and if so, which is which?
Im getting quite confused as this part has two names, steering arm and pitman arm...
And i don't want to order the wrong part..
I hope someone here can help me out here and how hard is it to replace them yourself?
Kind regards,
4x4. |

Hello
The nearside is the idler and the offside is the Pitman, rhey are different parts. I not sure of the years covered but there is a recall on the pitman arm at least up to 1994. If you search on here, there is (or was) a link to contact Mitsubishi to get it done for free. They check the vin number to see if it has been done on recall. I have not done it myself but fro what I read on here the pitman is a bit of a struggle. The idler is easy |
