I see a number of different power outputs claimed for the 3.2 diesel.

158bhp
168bhp
197bhp

What age/specs have which engine?

And what are the differences between the engines, looking at sites claiming to remap them, the most powerful variants seems to gain the most and certainly make more power than the others. I'm guessing there must be physical mechanical differences between the engines.

Thanks.

Do you know what makes the latter one product 40hp more? Does it have a different turbo/injectors? Can you upgrade an earlier engine to 197hp?

Not without ploughing through the parts lists, you could try here: https://www.megazip.net/zapchasti-dlya-avtomobilej/mitsubishi/pajero-montero-4375

You can successfully chip tune them to over 200 BHP easily and reliably.
