|
|
Just got in my car to nip down the shops and the SRS light came on as normal with all the self test you get when you start the car but this time it didn't go off!
I've had no work done to the car so its a bit puzzling. Ive read faults could be clock spring, squib, inpact sensors, seatbelts, airbags and srs ecu which is quite a long list. I have a 2004 shogun 3.2 did (SWB) it has the usual steering wheel airbag and passenger airbag plus the 2 fitted in the front seats.
Any body else had this and is there a way to diagnose it without having to go to a main dealer by a mut 2 tester?
I've read if this light comes on the only way to reset it, is by a mut reader!
Any help would be great |

I bought a diagnostic tool that can reset the SRS after I accidentally unplugged the passenger-side air-bag when I removed the seat to get to the navigation DVD wiring. I cannot recall whether it also reported which device has the fault though. That worked for the Gen 3 2003 Facelift GDi Elegance.

Just checked it and yes it does have the Read Codes function in the Diagnostics > Mitsubishi > $VERSION > SRS section. |

thats great ill have a look at the that, make make future jobs easier. I think i found the fault by trial and error it was the air bag connector under the passenger seat, i fiddled with it (not disconnected) and the light cleared on its own. |
